generating load files for dbench etc.

Has anyone ever written up a workable procedure for generating load files
for dbench?

IIRC dbench's client.txt was generated by some scripts running against an
ethereal capture.  Are they around anywere?

I am also curious whether the mapping of pseudo-SMBs to posix file
operations by the relatively more recent dbench-3 still maps somewhat
reasonably to Samba 3 (or Samba 4)?
