[Samba 4] Can smbd be run non-interactively?

I've been playing with Samba 4 recently and I noticed something
interesting. It seems that it will not accept connections unless it is
run interactively (i.e. smbd -i). Here is the log output:

smbd version 3.9.0-SVN-build-7266 started.

Can Samba 4 be run in non-interactive mode?
