Broken tdb build

What's going on with the broken tdb build? It fails on all machines due
(I think) to the use of an undefined autoconf macro. It seems to have
been this way for a while. I went looking for the check-in history using
websvn.samba.org and couldn't find it.  Then I looked in Historical CVS
Source and couldn't find it there.  What am I missing?  I feel really
stupid here....
