Access error writing to directory via Windows

With thanks to David Collier-Brown's advice, I logged in to the genenglb user through Unix(Couldn't through windows, no real user) and tried to write to the directory as genenglb and got access denied.  Somehow I'm guessing the uid changed for genenglb, even though it showed up as owned by genenglb.  I did a chown -R on the directory with what the uid should be according to the passwd file and was able to write to the directory.
