vampire performance

Attached is the latest vampire-to-ldif performance patch.  Thanks to John 
Janosik for good suggestions which are incorporated, as is the addition of 
the root user to the ldif file.

John T. has suggested the addition of command line and/or configuration file 
parameters to set the start of the uid's and gid's.  I will add this as soon 
as I return from vacation.

This patch is based on SAMBA_3_0_RELEASE; it has also been tested on 
SAMBA_3_0, the development version.
