Taking long time for Acknowledgment.

Hi,
 
I have Samba installed on Solaris Server,  I am receiving big files (8
Mb) form the windows 2000 PC and we are experiencing the delay. We
were able to capture the network traffic between and found that the
for first  3 packet (~ 4500 bytes)  it will take ~ 1 Micro Sec  and
takes .00004 sec for the acknowledgment. So my question is it possible
to increase the amount of packets up to 15 before it request for
acknowledgment. If so, can you tell me how we can do this....
