Is the handling for bug#2405 enough?

In samba-3.0.11 some patches about Bug# 2045 are included,
and I think main points of those are that the Last Write
Time (mtime) is modified for each time when samba receives a
TRANS2/SETFILEPATHINFO packet which includes a request of
modification of the mtime.

But samba originally has a process that the modification
request will be pending until samba receives close packet.
This still remains in the samba source.

I think the pending process is no longer required, is there
another problem that have to do that?
