ok.  I re-read your original mail.  You have multiple clients.
When you say no updates in the past 12 months, what service
pack are the clients running?  Should be on SP4 even given
that time frame.  Could you check against a currently patched
win2k client?  Or are you locked out of the network all
weekend?
