Jerry, have you seen any event log entries that contain SIDs?  

I was playing around with the Python win32evtlog module (a swig wrapper
around the win32 eventlog api that's part of ActiveState Python) trying
to generate eventlog entries for testing my idl.  Unfortunately the
module has a little note saying that SIDs are not supported in the
function that creates log entries.  (-:
