I do think there are a lot of advantages in being able to switch
themes/templates.  We could provide a few basic "views" that you could
select by a configure option.  A templating system would also allow
admins to be able to create a customized view very easily without having
to muck around in the SWAT sources.

Not that mucking about in the source isn't a fun and worthy endeavor.
