| Very nice GUI design! It's the one thing that?s been nagging me with
| samba for years
| Have you given any thought to changing the functionality slightly?
I have. Just trying to take changes in manageable chunks, rather than
throwing too much on people at one time.
| Just looking at the screenshots, I've had a few ideas pop into my head.
| By day I'm a samba sysadmin and an intranet developer by night, so I'd
| be happy to help out a bit, if you think I could be of any assistance
| I've noticed the 'Current view is Basic/Advanced' bit and then the
| redundant buttons below. You could use the onClick() event of the radio
| boxes to do the same thing.
I do agree that this is redundant, and you're right, some kind of change
is in order. I'm just not sure an onclick is the best way to handle
this. I'll explain more when replying to Chris Hertel's followup mail.
| On the Status page, what about having clickable link lists of shares and
| printers directly there, instead of throwing an (imho) unnecessary
| further page to the user.
I think it's nice to keep the Status info separate from Share/Printer
info. For example, the page would get really long, if opening editing
forms below the status forms. But that's just my feeling that it's more
user-friendly as it is. If others feel differently, I'm open to
| Keep up the good work!
Thanks! And thanks for the feedback.
