possible bug smbc_opendir error codes?

 There appears to be a bug in the error codes being returned by 
smbc_opendir.

 The case is as follows:

 I am attempting to open a file using the smbc_opendir function using a 
user with no access rights to the file (Obviously I am expecting the 
call to fail since a) I am trying to open a file and b) the user has no 
rights.)

 opendir fails with ENOENT rather than the expected ENOTDIR or EACCESS

 I am using Smaba v.3.0.9-1.3E.2 on a RedHat ES server

 Any comments/flames welcomed,
