Tested your patch and could not find any place where samba with heimdal
does not reconnect via tcp now. Looks very good. 

I'll notify SuSE that they can include safely include both patches in
their heimdal-update, as long as you don't have any further objections.

BTW: wouldn't it make sense to have a libdefaults-option like
"always_try_tcp = yes" ?
