Question regarding net ads join

I appear to have Samba 3.02 with winbind working with AD (W2K) mixed
mode, as I can wbinfo and getent sucessfully and chown and chgrp using
non-local NT accounts.  (whew!!).  I am still struggling somewhat with
a few lingering questions with file/folder permissions.  Also I have ACL 
support for the mount points containing my samba shares.  

However, when I use explorer or the AD MMC, I get all kinds of conflicting 
results when I try to administer an add, change or deletes to public or home

shares.  Mostly permission denied messages are what I recieve.  Am I missing
something?
