	To be fair to qfs, the Windows application was issuing a
	4 kB read, then an 8, a 16, a 32 and finally a stream of
	64 kB reads.  This bizzare slow-start was probably the
	worst possible thing it could do to a poor unsuspecting
	filesystem.
