Samba Copyright practices

[Vince Brimhall]

My company, Novell, is asking for clarification on the Samba Team's
position on copyrights as they pertain to code submitted by a third
party developer. It is my understanding that the source must be
copyright by the individual or have no copyright. Could any of you
provide further clarafication?
