Problems with cifsmount and kde

I think it's a locking problem. To use /home via NFS I have created a symlink
/home/user/.qt -> /tmp/kde-user/.qt

Perhaps this applies to SMB also, kdeinit tries to shmat() on a lock file and 
that was hanging on 2.6.4
