Hi All,
I'm not subscribed to this list but was encouraged to submit a bug by a
colleague.
When trying to connect to a "homes" share for a Mac OS X user I discovered
that when the server is samba 3.0.2a-1 on debian stable (from official
samba apt-source, jap mirror), and the client is OS X.3 *without* the
january security updates applied, the server crashes.
I can connect using "smbclient" from an OS X xterm, ie.
% smbclient \\\\server\\user -U user
but not from the "finder" by selecting "Go -> Connect to server" then
specifying smb://user@server/user.
When I do the latter I get:
[2004/03/15 11:23:40, 1] smbd/service.c:make_connection_snum(705)
literate (128.250.54.244) connect to service joshi initially as user

literate (128.250.54.244) closed connection to service joshi

Cheers,
