Registry for Samba

I'd like to propose Linux Registry (http://registry.sf.net) for Samba. It is an alternative back-end for text configuration files.

Making Samba use a registry, makes its configuration more easily accessible (from a program perspective), and integration between other software and Samba more fluent.

The Registry tries to provide an universal, hierarchical infrastructure and name space to access configuration parameters as key-value pairs. This way any software can read/save its configuration/state using a consistent API.
