I add them at lower debug levels. But sometimes not for higher ones
if there's a lower DEBUG that will box in the higher messages.  for 
example.

{
	DEBUG(5,("foo: enter...\n"));

	DEBUG(10,("some messages\n");

	DEBUG(5,("foo: exit\n"));

	return 0;
}
