please post general help questions to the samba at samba.org ml.
Also you have misunderstood the purpose of mksmbpasswd.sh.
It is impossible to convert UNIX password hashes to LM/NT
password hashes (w/o cracking the clear text of the password
first). So mksmbpasswd.sh just creates lines for each user
in /etc/passwd and assigns then a locked password and disables
the account.
