"thin" interface to winbind?

Hi!

When you want to attach to /tmp/.winbindd/pipe from within a program currently
it looks as if you have to include lots of samba-specific stuff. I'm thinking
about writing libwinbind.{h,a,so} with a thinner layer, along the lines of
libsmbclient as a rather separate module. Do you think this is desirable? Any
thoughts on the API?
