Problem in Starting Samba

Hello Guys ,


I have a problem in running samba. I have installed samba and configured smb.conf file  . and i made it to boot when the server starts .


I am getting the following error message in the boot prompt when samba.server try to start smbd and nmbd


/usr/local/samba/bin/smbd: syntax error at line 1: `)' unexpected
/usr/local/samba/bin/nmbd: syntax error at line 1: `(' unexpected


Can any one help me in this.


Here is my smb.conf file content

[global]


workgroup = Telecom
netbios name = samba
encrypt password = yes


[homes]
read only = no
browseable =no


[everyone]
path = /usr/
read only = no
browseable =yes
