What about the "root" account in Samba-3.0.0

AFAIK, it's still required in Samba 3.0.0; I know of one site that's
patched a recent release-candidate version of Samba 3 to let non-root
administrators join to the domain using the magic NT group, but have not
yet gotten them to submit the patch for consideration upstream.

Note that this is applies equally to Win2k and NT4, since Samba 3.0.0 is
not able to function as an AD domain controller out of the box.
