smbmount doesn't work

I have upgraded samba from 2.4 to samba-3.0.
I download samba.3.0.0.tar.zip then i did the following.

	- gunzip samba.3.0.0.tar.zip
	- tar -xvf samba.3.0.0.tar
	- ./configure
	- make install
	- restart smb daemon

I am running RedHat7.3.
everytime i do "smbmount //machine/c\$ /mnt/machine -o
username=somuser,password=somepasswd,ro"
I get "-bash: /usr/bin/smbmount: No such file or directory"

Does anyone know what is the problem.
