W2K Domain connection lost

Dear Experts,
I have samba-2.2-1a-4. running as a PDC for all windows 9x and windows 2k clienst. The problem appeared that all the  windows 2k client sharing resources to users were changed to sids and users were unable to make connection to w2k clients. The problem was resolved by rejoining the w2k clienst to the smb (pdc) server.
Could anyone be helpfull in rectifying this probelm.
