So what works here?  How does this affect people running ldapsam?

I'll point out that the whole point of waiting for idmap
was to fix this one point so trust relationships would be 
complete.  And to have a distributed winbindd (which i'm guessing
doesn't work either based on your comments about LDAP). :-(

Can you help me understand what's going on here?
