Does anyone see what's wrong here?
Why is smb_register_vfs() called without arguments?
What does the <Address 0xffffffff out of bound> say?

What exact samba version do you run?
if it's a CVS snapshot which date?

is this the same samba version you compiled vscan against?

Does other shared vfs modules are working try to build e.g. ext_audit.so
and load this alone and if that works, try

vfs objects = ext_audit vscan_sophos

please run with

log level = 2 vfs:10

and send me the log file and a backtrace again please.
