hide unreadable

Hi,

I'd like to use the hide unreadable feature, but it doesn't work as 
expected.
In a directory that all users can read are subdirectories with ACLs. These 
ACLs grant a small group out of all users the right to read and write that 
subdirectory. 
With "hide unreadable" turned on user 27604725 sees only the rk_scan 
subdir in the explorer. The user should also see depot.
If the user opens cmd.exe the user does only see rk_scan (with dir), but a 
cd depot works fine.
Samba 2.2.8a on Solaris 7 intel. Clients are WinNT4 SP6 and XPpro SP1
Any chance to correct/enhance the "hide unreadable" feature?
