Has a good bit of info on DDE and NetDDE.  I always thought DDE was, well, 
interesting but it never really took off.  The API was cumbersome and it 
really was a poor excuse for Sys V IPC.

That being said, it is quite different than COM although I think it's safe 
to say that COM was a more useful paradigm to most developers than DDE.
