2.2.8 fcntl F_SETLKW64 failing on Solaris 8

Ok,

I spoke way too soon. smbd is still spiking. I have notice one thing it
only happens when WinXP user are accessing the Samba shares. Now I know
about the Sign-or-Seal patch - which is only needed for WinXP clients to
join a Samba domain.

Do I need to apply the Sign-or-Seal patch for all my WinXP clients? All
the docs I have seen seem to suggest Sign-or-Seal is only needed to allow
WinXP clients to join a Samba somain.
