Compiling samba with --with-acl-support

I'm trying to compile samba 2.2.8 with ACL support on linux/sparc64
with 2.5.66 kernel and ext2 filesystem. All important libraries (like
libacl) are installed and the ACL system works fine (getfacl, setfacl
...)

But the ./configure script always switches the ACL support off. On
i386 with xfs and very similar system there were no problems.

What exactly is needed for ACL to compile?
