SAMBA PDC logon profiles

Hi All,
   I have been using SMABA 2.2.1a as PDC. For a normal user i.e a logon user
in client the profiles remains same for windows NT. Whatever i set IE settings and desktop
folders etc etc. 
But for windows 2000 and windows XP every time it asks for IE settings and folders
get erased from desktop which i put over there.
Can there be some mechanism so that profiles does't get erased.
or how can i develop profiles.?
