ls -la hangs in directory and subdirectories of anything mentione d in share

Hello,

Just loaded alpha19 and tried to do an ls -la in /export/home/INS, which is
where individual subdirectories home share are located.  My prompt just
hangs out.  ls -a works fine, but I can't see things like user/group...  I
remember fixing this awhile back by changing owner/group of INS, but I don't
recall why or what to change it to now.
