samba error

Hi Samba-people,

When I (as a newbie in Samba on Solaris) startup samba with the command : 

# /usr/local/samba/bin/smbd -D , I get the following error message when I
run the smbstatus :

# ./smbstatus

Samba version 2.0.5
Service      uid      gid      pid     machine
----------------------------------------------

ERROR: root did not create the semaphore
ERROR: Failed to initialise share modes
Can't initialise shared memory - exiting

What do I have to do to solve this ?
