Since windbind plug-ins are on the 3.0 roadmap, wouldn't it make sense
to do this via the plug-in architecture? I have a start on it at
http://www.cae.wisc.edu/~gerdts/samba/. Take a look at
idmap-file-0.0.4.tar.gz.

Andrew made some comments about it back in May or June that I just
haven't found the time to finish up yet. I had some other thoughts for
a slight rearrangement of the plug-in entry points.
