how can i get rid of 12 character problem

i have shared some files in windows NT System and im
trying to browse throgh following command on Linux
System running samba 

>smbclient -L NTWkstaion -U user1

this command gives me only the share names whose
length is upto 12 character shares having length more
then 12 characters are not shown throgh this
command.....similar problem of SHARE names Browsing
exist when trying to browse on Linux to Linux
machine.......i think this is the problem with
smbclient......i have tried 2.2.6 and 3.0 alpha but
didnt get rid of this problem so far can anyone pls
help for this

PS: i dont want to define any share defination in
smb.conf file share should be browse properly as they
are being browsed withour defining in conf file.....
