Same exact failure with
    Linux 2.0.38
    Linux 2.2.20
    Linux 2.4.18
    SunOS 5.6

I'll have to let you know Tuesday if it fails with just any old executable... but I'd expect it
would.

What is the Linux kernel version you are running ? Can you confirm it happens
with any DOS executable and I'll then try and reproduce the problem.
