Help.. Record Locking

Hello Everybody,
  We are using samba for sharing the files from
windows and Unix. Locks applied from windows are
effective in Unix. REverse is also true.

But if window98 pc hangs/reboots without closing the
application the locks are not getting cleared.

One more issue.
 How to define default access rights for the files
created by samba client(i,e win98).
