Derek,

I just tested this using the latest SAMBA_2_2 cvs code running
on a Solaris 8 box.  The client was a Win2k SP2 VMware session.
Samba was compiled using gcc 2.95.3

I could not recreate the problem.  Can you send me your smb.conf?
Am trying again with Sun's compiler now.
