This is more about an RPC error in general.

1783L RPC_X_BAD_STUB_DATA  The stub received bad data

What in the world might cause this and what does it mean?
Or where can I find documentation about this?

I got this trying to connect from one W2k machine connecting
to another one...

One is in our domain DFF, the other one is only in workgroup DFF
(because I cannot join our samba domain - see thread
RPC_S_PROCNUM_OUT_OF_RANGE)
