MS security rollup patch Q299444

The situation:
On a NT4 server (SP6a), assume a directory like:
E:\some_directory\shared_directory
where the leaf dir is shared but not the other(s).

After applying this patch, the shared_directory was no longer
accessible (smbclient returned "tree connect failed").

We had to uninstall the said patch to get it working again.

As the said batch in reality is a bunch of patches, I don't know
which part the culprit is.

Has enyone else encountered problems like this?

PS: currently, we are using SAMBA 2.0.7 on Solaris, Linux, and
Unixware.
