Can't logg ob to HEAD server

Hi Everyone

I have (thanks to many on this list) managed to compile and install 3.0 
alpha from cvs.

Now i can join my AD domain without a problem

I can do smbclient -L W2SERVER -U DOMAINUSER without problem

I can do smbclient -L SAMBASERVER -U% without problem

I can't do smbclient -L SAMBASERVER -U DOMAINUSER then i get a
NT_STATUS_UNSUCCESSFUL and in the smbd.log i get Domain password server not 
available

In the wins.dat the AD domain is listed with the Samba box IP

anyone seen this before
