W2k joining a Samba DC

Mandrake 8.1, Samba acts as a PDC
I have problems joining a Samba Domain on a Win2000 Workstation. I have
created the machine account. But, when I try to join the Domain, I
receive an error saying "Error opening session: the password or the
username supplied is incorrect" after I have supplied a user account to
validate on the server (I tried all possible users including root). This
behavior does not occured on the Win NT 4 Workstation.

Any suggestions?
