Hi

I have just upgraded our Samba installation from vers. 2.2.2 to vers
2.2.3a. It is running on a HP-UX 11i system. We are using Samba as a PDC
in an environment with both Windows 98 and Windows 2000 machines.

When logging on to the network, the users do a domain logon and we have
had no problems with the old version 2.2.2. After upgrading to the new
version 2.2.3a the Windows 2000 machines start, but each time a user try
to do a logon a "Window Explorer error window" pop-up. When pressing
cancel it pop-up once more. The only solution is to logoff. Then change
the member ship for the machine to a ordinary workgroup and then
reconnect it to the Samba domain. Then all profile data for the user
have to be deleted. After this everything works again but all users has
to start over again with the setup of their profile.

Is there any way to upgrade the Samba server without having to delete
all domain data (Machine information and profile data for all users)?

I tried to let the "tdb" files be in the lock directory after
installation. I believe these files includes the information about
machines and users, but then I got an error like:

I therefor had to delete these "tdb" files and I believe that has
something to do with my problems? Is there a way to upgrade these files
so the information is not deleted?

Thanks for your help
