Samba Errorlog in log.smb

Dear Samba Team,

Sanba 2.07 Suse Linux 7.1 


Aver starting the smbd this message is in log.smb:

[2002/02/02 17:05:28, 1] smbd/files.c:file_init(216)
  file_init: Information only: requested 10000 open files, 1014 are available.

Why we have only 1014 files available??
Some DOS- based Programs like GS- Auftrag sometime hang up.


Second error in log.smb is:

[2002/02/02 10:12:39, 0] smbd/oplock.c:oplock_break(976)
  oplock_break: receive_smb timed out after 30 seconds.
  oplock_break failed for file GS/AUF/GSAUF.EXE (dev = 803, inode = 1652933).
[2001/02/02 10:12:39, 0] smbd/oplock.c:oplock_break(1050)
  oplock_break: client failure in oplock break in file GS/AUF/GSAUF.EXE


is my network to slow? 
When i disable oplocks the error is not present, but the server very slow.
may i change the default oplock_break_wait_time to a lager value than 10 ??
