Ian,

I worked with one of the Mandrake package manitainers to try to reproduce 
this with now luck.  although Buchan had originally reported the problem,
he could no longer reproduce it using the latest SAMBA_2_2 cvs code.

Can you give me some more details?  A level 10 debug log on the server 
perhaps?  The client as well?
