I am using almost 100 machines to logon to My SAMBA as PDC domain.
It is 2.2.1a samba version. For Windoz XP it runs out of the box....

For that you need to logon to XP m/c as local administrator
account and... start -> control pannel -> administrative tools -> local secutity policy.
In the policy editor, open the 'Local Policy' tree, then the 'Security Options' branch.
 "Domain member: Digitally encrypt or sign secure channel data (always)",
double click it and disable it...
Thats it.
