RPC major/minor codes ??

I am trying to track a coherent set of the "format strings".
However, even when that is done, there is no place in the code (or
in written documentation) where the api number, format string, and
descriptions of the semantics of each argument for an API are all
gathered together.Tell mw if you any such doc.
