winbindd problem

Do you mean when you have to stop and restart winbindd? I have not had 
that problem.

This just means that winbindd is happy with the secrets in the database, 
but it has contacted a domain controller and logged on using the trust 
account info.

Are you certain that it uses anonymous queries? Do you have a trace. 
Ethereal can make sense of some of those these days, esp if you capture 
from when winbindd starts up.

Also, what does the log file say about what winbindd is doing?
